Curiosity is a ubiquitous part of most individuals lives. Yet the extent to which a person experiences curiosity differs widely and is dependent upon one’s openness to explore and embrace uncertainty, and willingness to absorb oneself in “finding out”. Recognising and pursuing uncertainty and challenge, coupled with a desire to know more can be a pleasant and self-fulfilling experience leading to increased well-being and a sense of mastery. This would appear to be fertile ground for coaching, particularly when informed by the science of applied positive psychology.
